We start after breakfast at around 8:30am and slowly make our way back out of Williamsburg, reversing the route almost that we took to get in. We’re heading South today on a three day circular detour before we will head North towards Washington, D.C., next week.
In Jamestown we take the ferry to cross the bay which is a welcome “highlight” during the otherwise pretty profane ride today: it’s almost perfectly flat and the distance is not a challenge at all, either. So we take a few breaks in between – mostly to stretch the ride a bit and not end up in Suffolk overly early.
Roads down here are mostly quiet – not much traffic out there for a Friday.
That’s about it for today.
